so im trying to add eldar cavalry to the silvan elf rooster

in export_descr_buildings i added mongols to the string

and in export_descr_units i added the eldar cavalry to the silvan elf part, changed any reference from HE to SE

still game crashes when i load the game

am i missing anything something here? (well im sure i am..)

You also have to mess around in battle_models.modeldb, so its a bit more complicated. If I was you I'd consult this tutorial.

give the Eldar cavalry unit the availability for mongols as well in export_descr_buildings .txt
    example
    hit Ctrl+F
search for Eldar Cavalry and put the mongols(silvan elves) into the faction list
    recruit_pool "Eldar Cavalry" 0 0.05 1 0 requires factions { egypt, mongols, } and region_religion orthodox 60
i insist on giving a comma "," and a space before adding the "mongols" and then again ","
    as above
    repeat that for every
"eldar cavalry" unit entry and save!
if you made the correct entry in edu & bm.db it should work!

well in export_descr_unit and in modeldb everything is ok othwerwise i would crash

as for EDB, i did add, and yeh noticed the need for the comma after mongols

if i right click stables, i see the eldar cavalry, but its not on the recruitment pool

i have everything, religion, stables, but i still cant recruit

i think it might have to do with the unit card or something, but i did exactly as in the tutorial, i think i need to do something extra... dunno

The Tutorial would be good. I want to add sovan swordman in my campaign. I'm past noob. never done anything like this in my life. you guys make it look fun. I tried to understand & merge two Mod's export descip unit file & take what I wanted, but to do the whole thing was like OMG!!!! so much stuff. I got MAD RESPECT FOR THE MODDERS. GOD BLESS YOU ALL. Anyway, i did some things by following directions by watching you guys , but I would love a adding unit for dummies. This would be great. Keep up the good work guys & down with the whiners.

my tutorial is in the sub mod but i think it misses a critical part

ingame eldar cavalry is mamulks, i got lucky and searched

but, for example, orc raiders, wich belongs to "england" could be any englands rooster unit...
