    Default Movie-Makingtime

    Hello fellow gamers.
As you all know,February is the month NTW is released. And I've thought about some things that could make gaming funnier and more intense.I've came up with Movie making.Capturing battles and other ingame-play in High quality videos and so on.Altough,I do not have a screen recording programme that records in High-Quality,and even though I've been searching the web for an hour,I havent found any.So im wondering,is there any experienced Machinima creators out there with good tips for recording? My only request is that the programme asked for is in english or german, preferably english.

Edit:I'm also looking for a aditing programme that's beginner friendly

As I'm new to these forums,I've probably posted this is the wrong section. In that case,i apolagize.

Also had problems with Fraps and some other programs as well. Some won't record right and others just record a black screen when I use fullscreen games

Fraps sucks unless you 1) buy the full version and 2) have a pc that has more than 30-35 MINIMUM frames per seconds WHILE RECORDING the footage. Otherwise it's 1) restricted to max 30 seconds of capturing I think and 2) will delaying the sound because it will speed up the video footage to match 30 fps.

I suggest to try the Xfire video capturing tool www.xfire.com . You need to create an account there, though (for free). I use Xfire for ETW machinimas too (see my signature)

EDIT: btw, I'm still not giving up the hope for a cinematic capturing tool for ETW/NTW just like we had in RTW/M2TW. You were able to render full detail footage even with the crappiest PC and make awesome camera paths and zooms etc there.

Please, CA, I beg you to release it. And if it's just your internal built of the movie editor (used for the NTW preview videos). I'm sure we'll get along with that!

    Thanks mate.
I'll look into that, and do you have any good tips for editing the clips later?
I've earlier used Corel, due its so easy to learn. But I cant do as much there as in say Vegas, still, vegas takes some time to learn.

Xfire doesn't film videos on high quality, though.

I use After Effects and Premiere. If Vegas is takes too much time for you to learn, then these Adobe products probably wont do better. Apart from that they are quite expensive unless you're an student or something. But you could try-out the 30-days free trial version.

Xfire captures on high quality. You will want to choose "full resolution" in the options menu though (if at all). They are still compressed (not RAW format), but still, you wont be able to distinguish between a high quality PNG and a still image captured with Xfire video capturing. At least that's my experience.
