Crash to desktop after victory.

I'm playing BI-RTRPE I've been playing as Numidea. I besieged a Carthaginian town a couple of turns ago, and then the Carthaginian decided to attack me using an external force and the defenders of the town. Anyway, I won the battle, and because the besieged enemy had a fight to the death thing they were wiped out, I won the town ( Yay ). And the option to occupy, enslave or slaughter ( or whatever they are, I forget ), comes up. No matter which one I click, the game crashes to desktop almost instantly after I click. So either clicking it causes a crash, or something about the rest of the Carthaginian turn is causing problems. I've got a save from the turn before the battle, so been able to try it five times now, and each time I've had a crash. Does anybody have any ideas what's up? I already found one fix on this forum to download, but it still crashes.
