    Default About Corruption in SS

I play as Sicily and I have nearly conquered the whole western Africa. The problem is, that the Moorish settlements I have taken have huge amounts of corruption. Minor cities like Marrakesh, Cordoba, and Fes produce only almost half of what they could with such big amounts of corruption. I do not believe it is because of me sacking those cities, some others I have occupied and they still got huge corruption.

Will the corruption diminish over time, or will it just stay? And what can I do to prevent this from happening again? Or is it just because those settlements happen to have corruption usually, being in the back end of the campaign map..

The more your capital is away from a settlement, the more the corruption will ruin the settlement income.
You can either move your capital (roughly to the middle of your Empire is the best) and if done already, you need to build town halls, city halls and mayor palaces to reduce it.
Nothing to do with you sacking the settlement

    2 things determine corruption %:

    1) Distance from Capital.

    2) Law, either permanent modifications from buildings that give +Law or temporary modification due to the presence of a general with +/- Law.

I'm not a big fan of moving my capital, but if you expand in one direction it may be worthwhile relocating your capital to the center of your empire.

Otherwise, build buildings with +Law to reduce the percentage of your losses to corruption in that province.

Build a lot of town hall style buildings and try to have a character around when the building is completed for the +law bonus

Yeah I have tried moving my capital to another location but It gave me less money. I dunno how is it now, with me owning the whole Africa except Egypt.

But about moving the capital, I noticed far too late that it takes away your money when you try to move it, unlike in vanilla. If you move your capital, like, ten times, in order to see what location would best serve your interests, you will lose a lot of money. I wondered how was it possible for me to lose 30 k florins when I was on a crusade, almost all of my armies on free upkeep and lose that much money...

Or is this made in the mod on purpose? Switching capital costs money now?

Either save your game before you change your capital and move it around until you've found the best one or just go to chat and give yourself back the money you've spent. Corrupyion can be incredibly annoying though, particularly if you capture a settlement that is normally a top earner (like vienna or venice) and it's squeezing out little over a thousand each turn, that sort of thing makes my hair prematurely grey
