    Default AOR rant

    OK, I get the concept of AOR and I really like it. The only issue is when you have areas that are CLEARLY from a certain faction and you still get silly AOR times. Fangorn is a forest, but Silvans who own it, at 90% culture, are still waiting a LOOOOONG time to recruit there. Dol Guldur is even in their forest, but lousy AOR. Dwarves take Gundabad, but recruit slow as hell there even tho its a mining town at the end of a mountain range.

    Hmm, I have no further point LOL, other than if anyone knows how to tweak AOR times or restrictions I would like to give it a try. Maybe after 120 turns of owning an area it becomes native?

    if u dont like AOR

    or simply want some units to be out of the AOR restriction do the following

    go to third age/data and open export_descr_buildings.txt

    Spoiler Alert, click show to read: 
    recruit_pool "Corsairs" 1 0.34 3 0 requires factions { spain, } and hidden_resource coast


    change to
    Spoiler Alert, click show to read: 
    recruit_pool "Corsairs" 1 0.34 3 0 requires factions { spain, }

    this way you can recruit it right away, as long as you have the right building


    if you want to make more even/fair simply replace and hidden_resource coast with and region_religion catholic 30

    where catholic is the religion and 30 is the percentage needed, in this case Harad now needs 30% followers of melkor and the right builiding

    this can be done to any AOR unit

    elves is orthodox

    be warned if you install any other submod that modifies this file, you will need to re-do everything again

    He is talking about the time it take to replenish the recruitment pool. This has to due with the amount of elves that were still in ME. They were on the decline and thus you cannot field large armies in a small amount of time.

    Area of Recruitment
    An area on the campaign map where units can be recruited (and not in other regions)

    For example: Dol Amroth Knights, Khazad guards and Athela Rangers.

    (blinks) but um...How does this apply anywhere? Most AOR units are like swan knights, or gondors marines, Aye? Is there something im missing?

    AOR is giving an extra flavour into this Mod
    i personally like it a lot.... and use it as well when coding
    It is afterall a way to control and reduce the way that you build your armies
    and it wouldn t be nice to be able to Recruit e.g. Erebor axemen in minas tirith.....
    on the other hand if you want faster replenishment for Aor units then just increase its rate on e_descr_buildings
