Nothing new at all. He tells about jump-in-battles and what a good innovation they may turn to be. But not a sentence of new info.

No new video footage either. But the music in that video rocks!

Looks to me like NTW is just, again, a small graphic overhaul of ETW. Barely any difference seen aside the obvious flag changes and unit changes. Mechanics still seem to be the exact same.

Even the narrator didn't seem too enthusiastic.

    "3 separate campaigns.
    Reworked animations.Reworked explosions.
    Physics.
You can choose which general to recruit.
    You can liberate countries.
    Improved graphics.
    New diplomacy options.
    More unit diversity.
    New emergent factions.
New time period - as in it's the first time one turn is not half a year but rather 2 weeks.
Better AI - so far it is hard to confirm, but all the previews have commented on this having improved.
New engine (this ties in with the "Improved Graphics" part.
For the first time, CA's focus is on one historical character, instead of a period of time, which will change the gameplay experience.
    New cannonball options.
What looks like new unit formations, yet to be confirmed."

Units seem to move the same way as they did before, some effects looked reworked but not by much. OOh wow, sparks!

    Physics.
That could mean alot of things.

You can choose which general to recruit.
You mean like we should have been in the first place?

    You can liberate countries.
Like we should have been able to in the first place?

    Improved graphics.
I barely saw any improvement. =/

    New diplomacy options.
You mean the ones we've had since Rome but in ETW disappeared?
    More unit diversity.
Again, like we should have had before?

    New emergent factions.
Ok, now will emergent factions actually mean something in the world this time around? I barely ever saw them and even when I did they hated me and got gobbled up shortly after.

New time period - as in it's the first time one turn is not half a year but rather 2 weeks.
Well yea they're only working with a few years of campaigning and not a whole century (or more) like last time. Unless they want 20 turn games of course it's going to be shorter.

Better AI - so far it is hard to confirm, but all the previews have commented on this having improved.
That's what they said about ETW, we all know how that turned out.

New engine (this ties in with the "Improved Graphics" part.
So they just made a new engine (can't see a difference) to replace a new engine that was supposed to be improved over time?
For the first time, CA's focus is on one historical character, instead of a period of time, which will change the gameplay experience.
    For the worse probably.
    New cannonball options.
Like what? Super gummybear paratrooper attack rounds?
What looks like new unit formations, yet to be confirmed."
So now we have more than just square and wedge and diamond? Praise the lord?

Again, NTW just seems more and more like what ETW was intended to be and they're making us pay full price for a retrofit mod.

For the record the European Campaign IS the Grand Campaign in NTW.

And going by what previewers have noted about the Italian Campaign, it looks small and short but in fact long (probably due to 2 weeks per turn).

There're more provinces in this Campaign than there were in the Euro map on ETW.

But meh. Game's going about the same price as an expansion anyways.

L4D2 now that was horrible. Charging it for a full sequel price

    Removed remark towards other member.

You're right. From the sound of all the previews and community members who have played the preview copy or went to that community event thing, the Italian campaign is actually pretty big. At first glance it looks puny because, well, it's just north Italy, but it looks like there's a LOT of provinces, the recruit times are at least 2 turns, and it takes a while to walk anywhere.

And even the original L4D had no business being full price . Both games are $30 material in my book.

It is clear that you will not appreciate any new feature that CA will put in the game.

Would you prefer it if we would rollback to Rome:Total war engine and features?

    You're negative about everything.

Nothing really new though. I'm sure I've seen it all before in previous vids posted on the net.

Russian is such a cool sounding language, so the video has that going for it even though there's no new video.

Oh yeah. This is a pretty garbage preview of NTW.

They say absolutely nothing new about the game. In fact, they only talk (very briefly at that) about one feature, which is the ability for another player to jump into the campaign and become your new opponent as oppose to the AI. That's it.
