All Factions

Hello i did the thing to unlock all the factions like change the decsr_strat or whatever but when i save it and go to play no matter what faction i choose the rome total war program just crashes why is this?

you did it wrong.

if you had a back up of descr_strat put it back there.

if not you may have to reinstall or work out what you did wrong.

Which faction are you selecting that causes a crash to the desktop? If it's an unlockable faction (like the Greeks, Gaul, Germania, etc.) then you might have done something wrong while editing the descr_strat (upload your descr_strat here, if that's the case). If it's a nonplayable faction, I recommend downloading a mod (Hader's All Factions mod, for example) where leader pics and faction descriptions are added to these factions, since they're kind of incomplete.

i did nothing wrong because ive done it before but when i tired after i reinstalled RTW it was just crashing on who ever i chose

Your using the 1.3 patch?

The placeholders that make these playable were only added with 1.5 try downloading that.

If not make sure you didn't deleate any of the catagorys or leave spaces.

im using 1.5 or 1.6

yea if you have 1.5 and you didnt mess up it will work. You mentioned 1.6, but thats only for barbarian invasion. Double check your version.

im using 1.5 and i tried again last night did it how ur supposed to and when i tried to play campaign it just crashed the game...

Did you make sure it's the 1.5/1.6? Because I got the Gold edition, and even though everyone said it was automatically at the 1.5, it was only at 1.3 (or 1.4, can't remember anymore), and it would crash for any Nonplayable faction besides Macedon.

its 1.5 i checked today and i uninstalled gold edition and im using just rome now and its 1.5
