    Default Confusion with AOR?

Ok so In the FAQ it said taht if I have a royal barracks I can recuit all AOR units and my regular units. I have two campaigns going one for macedon which doesnt have one AOR unit to recuit even though I have land in asia minor and south greece and carthage witch has a royal barracks in Iberia, but the only original faction unit it can recuit is punic skirmishers. I'm confused what are the REAL rules of AOR? Please and Thank you.

What mod exactly are you using? Yes, you should be able to recruit aor units(iberian, numidian, gallic etc.) pretty much everywhere with any faction. In fact carthage will get only aor units outside of its homeland iirc.

    Tell me about it.

Only troops that I can recruit in just 7 of my 80+ territories have any chance of stopping the Seleucids, who seem to be able to produce vast quantities of their fantastically though spearmen.

You need tough heavy infantry to stop phalanxes, or at least hold them in place. Then charge them in the rear with cavalry. For added effect, attack their flanks with skirmishers.

Try recruiting some mercenary phalanxes (I can't remember if there is such a beast) and see how that goes with the combined arms approach.

Regarding Carthage, I'm fairly ceratin they can only recruit their factions troops in Carthage, because historically they recruited local troops and mercenaries.
