Fight for Old Glory!
thats a good site
unfortunately, in the game it is nearly impossible to try and hide your real forces because of the flag representing your amount of forces. If you tried the ulm campaign for example, the austian player would immediately notice that a larger army is surrounding you, unlike Mack who needs to get information from his spies and scouts and don't give a really good picture but add to confusion.
In the game you have satellite view which allows you to see where everyone is. The same is with battles, you can just move your camera around the hill and see all the forces moving to flank you. It's impossible to surprise the enemy like Napoleon did.

Just like the elephant animation, this Carthage scenario is actually in the game, it just has a small percantage factor for showing up, that's all..."we're way way pre-alpha and what that means is there is loads of features not just in terms of the graphics but also in terms of the combat and animations that actually aren't in the game yet.So the final game is actually gonna look way way better than this!” - James Russell, CA
Beware of scoundrels
same thing with what Frederick did at Leuthen which is also on the site
thing is though, this strategic and not tactical, so its like splitting up ur army pre battle on the campaign map, which u can do, but the armies' LOS is much bigger than reality.
