    Default Help out a newbie.

I need help with a plan I have to conquer all of Rome as one of the subfactions. My plan is to play as either Julii, Brutii, or Scipii, create a diplomat and convert the 2 other subfaction armies into mine as a huge force to revolt against the city of Rome itself and later conquer the other subfactions. Any tips before I put this plan into action?

First of, I don't think you can bribe other roman armies unless you changed the files or something. Also, you can't attack rome or the other families until you have enough popularity with the senate.

I already took the preparations. I made sure that I could convert allied armies to mine. I already made a file as the Julii and stole all of the settlements that the brutii and scipii were targeting and gained enough popularity with the senate on both areas. The remaining challenge is to build a rebellion army of thousands, Conquer Rome, plunge the families into civil war, and conquer the remaining families as well as the known world.

Having a ship at every hostile harbour is a good idea. Make Sure you have enough cash To bribe all rivaling romans though. Besides that all i can say is ignore visiar

The main problem early on will be money. Bribes cost tremendously more than training the unit, so you could pay 7k denarii to get two hastati units and one princepes. If you can't afford it, your best bet is to cart some troops to the other family's target cities and take them as fast as possible.

Sorry if I was rude before, but I just didn't know you could do that. I would suggest changing the files and allowing the use of force diplomacy. That way you could keep your alliance with the other families until you want to defeat them.

You can change all the Roman families to enemies by editing descr_strat - diplomacy is near the end of the file and there are instructions on what to do
