Help with modding!

I recently started playing ETW for the first time in about 6 months and after having problems with installing i found the solution by deleting appdata. now though i cant use any modding tool like PFM or Mod Manager because they either cant find empire.exe or i dont seem to have a patch.pack. they both worked fine before. im using a vista 32bit. anyone got any ideas?

I think you're supposed to place those programs and associated files in the ETW data folder, and start them from there. Did you do that?

Edit - wait: I failed to notice this before, but did you say that you deleted a folder named "Application Data"? I don't know what you've done, but it sounds bad. You shouldn't need to delete a folder with the name of "appdata" or something to get things working. You should try reinstalling everything again.
