    Default Trouble with add-on auxilia

    Allright, Sulla or someone responsible
I am in Greece, conquering here n there, but for some reason, I cannot recruit the Macedonian Cavalry mercenaries. I tried and it always made me recruit those Thespian Armoured boys.

    Advise please.

cze, it is because you started a campaign with the second last release. In the final release we removed a merc unit in Greece due to graphical issues. We said the final release could be installed right over but discovered later there was a glitch in that merc pool. Sorry, but you will only be able to recruit THAT unit if start over. I had same issue in my campaign.

Well, there is actually another way, manipulating your own game a little bit making those cavalry recruitable in Greece, instead of mercs. Should not call for too many adjustments. PM me to let me know if you are interested and need any help fixing that?

Another thing Since I only now invaded Greece, I find myself unable to train governors in Greece mainland, while in Gaul I can. Is that supposed to be this waY?

I didn't even notice we can recruit general I should have read the readme more carefully I'm invading Hispania with my family members only and I was wondering if I'll have enough...
So I've a question (don't think I need to create a new thread for one question only, so I post here). I've read all the stuff about loyalty but now I've understood there is a difference beetween family members and generals, I've a doubt : Generals can betray, but what about family members ?

    Thanks...

I thought you were only supposed to be able to recruit generals in legion-cities?

Yeah, and I happily trained few spies to see half dozen assasins around my cities in Greece.

yeah the greeks are like obsessed with sending assasins to burn your markets and agoras. I just had to put a bunch of spies in my cities to counter them.

Family members are no different. They can betray you. The only exception is the faction leader. I'm unsure about the heir though.
The thought behind recruitable generals are that your family members are supposed to govern towns, while you recruit generals to lead your armies. That way your family will always stay loyal, and avoid public scandals

I always use whoever I have at hand. Eventually, they end up in cities, close or far from Rome. When general is too successful, I replace him. It is pain in battle for first few times, but eventually, all is well!

Its nice because when a general get a great triumphs, it becomes in a danger for the empire, what I do is sending them to garrison borders, before they be a traitors

I had my faction heir betray me, he had the whole shebang of great victor, vanquisher, great triumph, legendary infantry commander. I must have used him too much lol
