Well will this be the game that makes "Creative" Assembly go bankrupt? Obviously to any half-wit; Empire Total Failure was complete and utter garbage, the game claimed to take place in the Enlightenment period but didn't even feature mass volleys and the only tactic the AI employed were mass charges

Anyone else hopes that the sale's of this game will fail so utterly that Creative Assembly will be forced to actually make a good game again and finally return to that good old Risk-style paper map again that can handle campaign AI properly?

I hope for option number 2. I remember their good old 2D games (STW/MTW) and I really hope CA will return to those good old days

I like Total War games and even though Empire was not all it was supposed to be it still gave me, and in fact still does, hours of enjoyment.

The answer to your question is a BIG FAT NO!. Remember that we on the forum are actually a minority of customers CA have so in the grand scheme of things we are not really THAT important.

All of these options are horribly biased and extreme, I cannot vote.

It's a yes or no poll and a hope for betterment in the middle, how difficult could it be?

I think it won't sell as good as Empire total war, but I'm sure this'll be a great succes.

Lol. ETW was a massive FININCIAL sucess.
It reminds me of when people were saying "the sims is a garbage game that will make maxis go bankrupt , it has no gameplay value whatsoever and is dull and repetetive"
And its the best selling game of all time...

The only postive option has a negative point to it, "CA willl introduce graphical garbage"
One negative option has the negative point of them going bankrupt
And the other negative option has the point that 2D will be reintroduced.

They are all on the extreme edges.

Also, How about 'the game will be awesome but CA will go bankrupt because the fans on this forum are bloody idiots?"

You have a point, one post I read recently said CA deserve to go bankrupt, well I understand his point, but it seemed more like he wanted them to, rather than they just deserved to.

For me overall the series as a whole has been very good, and the only PC games I can keep playing, and playing. The average Call Of Duty lasts me about 10 days. So with this in mind, I am more than prepared to put up with some crap from CA(at the moment), despite the flaws, nothing in my mind offers anything like the same value for money regarding replay.

There is the option to chose: "other2...

Anyway it's well known that CA always put in much more extra graphic than extra gameplay for each release

E:TW sold massive amounts of copies. It was a commercial success. To suggest that going back a 'good old 2D and Risk map' would be suicide for CA. I don't think I can quite put into words just how stupid that suggestion is.

So it would not be a huge public success, but certainly the old style would appeal more to the hardcore fans? I have played the Total War series since Shogun and I sure know that I prefered the old system.

So have I but it was far more limiting in terms of strategy. It had it's charms but it would retard the TW series.

The free form map isn't really more strategical it just allows you to exploit the dumb AI and basicly auto-win every battle before it started by positioning yourself on bridge or abusing the night attack.

The best things with the Risk map are that the AI performs much better and that you are relieved from all the tedious marching.

They wouldnt be worth segas time and money.
They would just fire all the CA staff and sell the TW license off to some other company.

NTW will be the best game on Napoleon and raise the level among the other games on at the time.

I don't for one minute think this game will be without critics but I am confident that it will be an improvement on ETW

I think the concept has largely gone un-noticed which is to focus on a historical figure and if successful we will see Julius Caesar Total War or Hannibal Total war pretty soon after, I am aware of the Alexander expansion for RTW but for several reasons that was a flop mainly in my opinion because of the limitations of phallanx warfare

Overall I don't think ca can afford to issue another mess like ETW, yes it sold a lot but how many people still play it ? and how many customers have they lost ?

Lets be honest only a really sad person wants to see another mess like ETW
