Where is the best place to buy NTW Imperial In Australia?

Hi guys just want to know where the best place/deal is to get Imperial NTW?

JB is selling it for $79 plus bonus pre-order unit Grand Battery of the Convention and a copy of Medieval 2 GoldPack- and I saw D-store selling it for $69.50 and EB games $98.00. Huge price difference if you ask me. Does JB price match D-store?

I thought with the Aussie dollar being so strong it would be less than what ETW Special Forces was on release.

Another question does EB have a special Pre-order unit as well?

It's best to buy a copy at D-Store then, since it appears to be the cheapest ; plus the prepurchase/exclusive DLC units should be available in the near future.

Check STEAM store, it's looking like quite a cheap option over here in the UK and since the game will probably have steam requirement its not a biggy buying it digitally - although I have to admit, I like a nice printed manual and disc but I think I;ve only ever used ETW's once when it was first installing and I;ve never looked at it or used the disc again.

the EB one u saw is Emperors edition, not Imperial edition. EB Australia are the only ones in the world with that and its essentially Imperial edition + a Napoleon statuette and a war journal or something
that D-store sale does look good though

ive already pre-ordered form JB but that sale wasnt on

if u wanna pay $10 for the Grand Battery and M2TW GOLD, go JB, if not, go D-store
theres also game and EB of course for roughly the same price as JB and EB have the super dooper edition too

you're forgetting that Australia has terrible internet and download restrictions, so buying it in a store would be a better idea.

Thanks AussieDigger, I thought about steam but the game is about a 15gb download so I prefer the disc option.

Yep I'm thinking D-dstore will be the way to go then pick up the other units later down the track as DLC. I'll first see if JB price match.

does that mean you get an extra 5 units via steam or lose 5 units by not purchasing from retail store - got to do some homework on this

when u get imperial edition form any game store u get both elite regiment (5 extra units) and heroes of the napoleonic wars (10 units) = 15 all up
when u get normal edition from any game store u get only elite regiment = 5 units all up

for some weird reason, when u get imperial edition off steam u only get heroes of the napoleonic wars and NOT elite regiment
and when u get standard edition off steam u get neither

and adding to the pre-order special units, if u pre-order from steam u get Royal Scots Greys which are supposed to be the best heavy cav in the game, so i spose thats the only reason people are getting it off of steam

but being australian with telstra being the ers they are
having to download 15GB of game off steam probably isnt a good option

this elite regiment nonsense is getting ridiculous...and quite pathetic to keep track of.

i just pre-ordered from JB...and amen to any abuse spat at telstra...

I've never seen JB advertise price matching, but EB definitely do.

Also Telstra < Tin Can & Piece of String Internet.

how fast is satellite?

I'm using satellite at the moment, this is about 300kb/s, but most plans (including this one) are pretty rubbish... you have to shape (to ~2% of standard speed) at a couple of GB/month if you aren't capable of growing salable limbs on a monthly basis, so it's far from ideal if you're not living alone or if you like to dl movies, games or large mods - it also comes with an inherent several second lag as it relays information with the distant satellite. Go with Internode if it's available to you, in my opinion.

EB Games store is best.

Were I to buy it, I'd look for "Suckers are Us" as that's where it belongs following my $109 spent on the SF version of ETW.

I use Internode as my ISP, with ADSL 2+. Works wonderfully.

Canada doesn't even get a Imperial Edition. We get the DLC units and that's it. None of the pretty artwork or the bust.
