    Default confirmed factions?

I am having a hard time finding much info about the playable factions in the game.

As far as I know only Austria, Brittain, France, Russia and Prussia are confirmed.

What are the starting dates for the three campaigns?

I personly dont care much for this period, I dont like the uniforms, but if the Netherlands are playable I might still get it. After Napoleon's first defeat Willem VI became King Willem I, the first Dutch king of the Netherlands, and he wielded more power than his offspring. He restored the country's economy and was nicknamed the merchant king.

But mostly I am hoping for the Netherlands to be in the game before the Netherlands where conquered, to fight off the french and change history. Willem V ruled the country at the time, and Willem I was already born so would be the heir.

i know, i dont even think the ottomans were going to be playable until recently so would have been very restrictive with just 5 playable factions.... if u wait for the mods they will unlock all the factions for you...

France, Britain, Prussia, Austria and Russia. the Ottomans are not in the campaign. Portugal I believe is available for custom battles.

This really isn't restrictive, it's how it was. This is a game chronically a conflict, not the wars, diplomacy and trade of many nations. So you really only need to have the major participents of the war, which are the playable factions.

This set up would make the most sense because, as I've written before, after the French withdrew from Egypt, the Ottoman Empire signed a treaty with France and were no longer involved in the Napoleonic Wars. That and the fact that the Middle East is cut off from the Europe map, leaving the Ottomans only their Balkan provinces, means the player probably isn't missing much.

Did I just read that you don't like the uniforms!!!!

The uniforms is one of the reasons for me to buy the game. The Nap Wars has been hearld to have the most beatiful uniforms of world history!!!

But thats your opinion, and another topic....

"we're way way pre-alpha and what that means is there is loads of features not just in terms of the graphics but also in terms of the combat and animations that actually aren't in the game yet.So the final game is actually gonna look way way better than this!” - James Russell, CA
Just like the elephant animation, this Carthage scenario is actually in the game, it just has a small percantage factor for showing up, that's all...

yet another dissappointment (we should be used to them by now i know)! It seems CA like to leave a hell of a lot of work for the modders 2 do to make their insufficent efforts into something playable. they cant even unlock a few more factions.... im considering cancelling my pre order....

Wonder if a modification can be done to make you cable to scroll through the other Coalition factions in a faction unlocker.

It's also strange that only in MP can you play the "Lesser-Major" powers. What's wrong with them playable in SP?
