Default The 50 Worst Movies Ever

Following on The 100 Cheesiest Movie Quotes of All Time thread here we have a list of The 50 Worst Movies Ever

I thought it was really interesting how they didn't just add really bad movies that were never meant to be good anyway but also those highly anticipated movies that were very disappointing such as Matrix Revolutions and Spiderman 3.

I would also have added the Star Wars prequel movies, any of them would do.

What a list. A better title would've been 'The Worst 50 Movies People Have Actually Heard Of'.

*laughs* I'm so glad none of the movies I like are on that list.

I would slap the Mad Max Road Warrior movies on that list. Postman was so much better atleast it showed a more sensable post world goverments go to heck because of war universe, insted of people fighting over gas and oil insted of water.

Oh heck yes. I mean Hocky Masked man wanting to kill everyone over gas!? I mean thats retarded.

Postman the mad man ruled over the land like a King with a big stuck *his army* exploited the weaker people insted of murdering them and taking their belongings, only to find out there is nonthing left to steal since everyone is now dead.

Most people agree if our sociality falls a part the world would be something almost identical to what was seen on Postman, just I never heard anyone reference that movie directly when talking about it, just not the mr guy on horse delivering mail being turned into a folk hero. The people with power will attempt to rule over territory like Lords of old, and individual towns and cities will wall themselves in and may even start fighting over land and resources, or just hog what they have for themselves and threaten outsiders with force keeping them away... which is pretty much as I pointed out earlier in this paragraph POSTMAN!! lol

Even Fallout 3 sucks at it's post nuclear world thing. Even after just thirty years of nuclear fallout trees and plants will START growing again. PS Post man is not a post nuclear world, like Madmax, but still it's retarded they fight over Gas insted of Water food or something IMPORTANTS!! lol

I find it amusing that you think gas is an irrelevant resource when it runs most of the developed world today.

The fact of the matter is that as long as there is gas and you have gas powered vehicles, it will be a valuable resource because it provides fuel to get you from A to B. That's what the Road Warrior scenario is all about. Gas exists but it is scarce and if you want it, you have to fight for it. And mind you, this is Australia we are talking about, smack dab in the middle of the wasteland. You seem a little confused as to where the respective movies are taking place.

This is about Marauders/Raiders stealing gas so they can keep powering their own vehicles and move forward to the next best opportunity, there's nothing retarded about that scenario because without gas, you are stranded in the desert, left to die. They aren't interested in extorting and ruling anyone, why should they? That wasn't a town or village, it was a makeshift settlement around an oil refinery, the very resource the raiders were interested in.

And mind you, beyond the appeal of their respective scenarios, no way in hell is Postman a better movie than Road Warrior.

Because a '50 worst movies people never heard of' would be much more interesting?

One of these movie that I saw on the big screen was Dungeons and Dragons, I was a kid when I saw it and even then I left the movie thinking 'wow! that was extremely bad'

How is the the plot of Road Warrior crap? Petrol would be priceless in that world. People kill over gasoline now...in a world without a governing body and police force? Are you kidding?

The Postman was one of the worst movies I have ever seen. Road Warrior is one of the best post-apocalyptic movies ever.

I agree with that crazy dude in the Red Baron thread about how you have no taste...sheesh

Pretty much agree with all of them. For me a bad movie has to have a large budget, low-budget doesn't count. I never understood why Roger Ebert thought Van Helsing was a good movie. Battlefield Earth is just one reason I'd never follow Scientology. I liked Highlander 2 as a kid but then I saw Highlander and thought 'wtf?'.

I would have put Street Fighter Chun Li on there also, but good call on the Love Guru. That was terrible.

Haha! I own the Renegade edition of Highlander 2. I sought it out on purpose because they cut out all the parts about immortals being exiles from some failed revolution on an alien world.

No way, no way in hell, is Highlander 2 better than the original Highlander. In any manner humanly conceivable.

Speed Racer's only bad if you went in expecting anything other than a wacky, surreal cartoon in live action. Which everyone should have expected, since it's Speed ing Racer.

I can only assume someone in the porn industry was a producer as it missed the mark worse than a blind darts player.

Anyhow i really hated the Blair witch project. One of the absolute worst movies i have ever seen. I fell a sleep 30 mins into it need i say more.
Ordinarily I'd agree but the budget was so miniscule I can't compare it to million-dollar productions. Most overrated movie, certainly.

Good god man of course it isn't. Who thinks that?

I really don't think that Van Helsing deserves to be on that list, I rather liked that movie, there was nothing especially appalling about it.

I think that anything that comes even close to being a "chick flick" should be on that list too ie "The Women" "Sex and the City" "Mama Mia" and countless more.

Oh, and for Christ's sake, why the hell wasn't the third Pirates of the Caribbean movie on that list? It's another one of the movies that springs to mind when I think of awful movies. Though nothing beats Starship Troopers 2 of course
