    Icon3 reappering factions?

Sorry if this has been done before but i couldn't find it.

One of the great thing bout MTW1 was the reappering factions. So can i do something so that this happens in rtw. (been playing vanilla since my computer crashed) in BI they have emerging factions so can i script it or more prerably get factions to reapper randomly when a settlement revolts.

I assume that with reappearing factions he references a bit to Empire. When you defeat a faction, but they rebel and conquer their previous home region, they emerge again. Ive seen it happen with the united provinces.

In BI (i didn't liked it so i haven't played it much), the factions don't dissapear, they just transform into hordes. (although you have the brittania emerging). no?

As he wrote he means the reappearing factions of MTW. It was a good concept and itīs sad that this was lost in RTW.

When you have conquered the last province of a faction or killed his last mature family member then the faction disappeared - ok thatīs where the fun in RTW stopped.

In MTW the game bears in mind male underage family members until they get 60 years old and die of old age. As soon as the public order in one of the factions former provinces dropps below 100 % (in the expansion Viking Invasion 120%) and the (or one of the) underage family members has meanwhile matured, there is a change that the leads a rebellion and restores his reign - thatīs it.

It was a good concept, because you had to take care on newly conquered provinces from destroyed factions. You canīt squeeze their citizens with very high taxes until you have established your reign and made the people happy.

This is not possible, a settlement can only revolt to the former faction when this faction is still alive (means owning another city). As soon as there are no cities or mature family members left, the faction is dead - once and for all.

The Emerging factions in BI are scripted, Slavs appear around 410AD, the Romano-British when the British cities are lost by the Western Roman Empire. And the Ostrogoths, Western- and Eastern Roman rebells when Gothic or Roman cities revolt.

Another thing are the Hordes. Some factions start as hordes, others (and the ones starting as hordes) have the possibility of forming a horde when their last city is captured. Then some of their citizens become soldiers and they form some stacks. But in this case their family members are still alive and controll soldiers (but no town). Thatīs not the same as the reappearing factions of MTW1.

As far as I know that can't be done with the RTW engine. That's why all the mods that have emerging factions use the BI engine.

I've heard, but never seen it happen, that some cities will revolt to their 'grandfather' faction, causing a dead faction to reappear. For example, if Macedon was destroyed, and Cyrene revolted from someone, then theoretically, Macedon could reappear.
In this day and age, there are two kinds of people: people with sticks, and people with bigger sticks.

    Hi there.
In B.I. there are three different factions:
Those who are present at games start, and some of those can become hordes if their last region is lost.
Those, who appear as hordes and becomes nations when they conquer a region.
Those who can appear if the right conditions are met on the campaign map, the Romano-British and the Ostrogoths are such nations.
