"The fact is that every war suffers a kind of progressive degradation with every month that it continues, because such things as individual liberty and a truthful press are not compatible with military efficency."

Under the patronage of Nihil. So there.
Atleast it's not a re-make and atleast it's Ridley Scott.
He made the first alien movie so he atleast know how to make a good alien movie.
Yeah but the studio will want to cater to an audience as broad as possible
That is true for anything.Yeah but the studio will want to cater to an audience as broad as possible

Scott says on the commentary track for 'Alien' that he wanted to make this movie for a long time, which seemed like a stupid idea to me, but for some reason he didn't want my opinion.
He has enough clout and has earned enough money in the business for Fox to give him free rein... I think.
I just don't like AVP. It doesn't make sense. Isn't Alien set 150 years in the future and Predator set in the past?
I reckon this has potentual to be alright, but it will probably turn out to be a disappointment

The Predator movies, at the time of release, were set in the present or near future. With the Predator established as being an alien hunter coming from a space faring civilization possibly millenia old, it can easily be used in past, present or future settings because it's "timeless".
^also they were based on comic books

As a teenager, I was taken to various houses and flats above takeaways in the north of England, to be beaten, tortured and raped over 100 times. I was called a “white slag” and “white ****” as they beat me.
