Swedish citizens get the correct hat (almost) I see but the infantry will apparently have the kiwer shako which some units adopted only in 1813. I can see the citizens being modded into infantry.

I`m` sold. Those several pictures from NTW have impressed me that much. Granted I could paint identical pictures and sell them as part of a game to impressionable people, but i wouldn`t do that.

I just don't get all this negativity over preview pictures. I'd wager a ham sandwich that every computer game EVER has released preview images, because, I dunno, people like seeing these types of things? But when the Creative Assembly releases preview images, its because they're trying to subliminally brainwash the impressionable masses into forgetting about the mistakes of Empire and purchase Napoleon immediately.

If anything, these preview pictures are actually better than what we've seen in the past. Between these and the preview videos, we're seeing (what appears to be) much more variation in unit models, let alone textures - basically, it's addressing one of people major concerns, which is that of the "clone army". One of my personal biggest gripes with Empire conceptually was the lack of "liberations" and "satellite states", so whenever we see pictures of these new minor factions, I take it as reassurance that the client-state feature will be extensive.

Extensive, of course, does not mean successful; I won't make that decision until I've played the game myself, or heard about it from someone I trust. As should all of you, whenever you identify something you think is going to be bad.

Which brings my post full-circle - these are preview pictures. People can't/shouldn't judge the game on preview pictures. Leave your biases in the toilet where they belong. "Bias" is different than "experience". Having a bias towards CA will result in someone thinking Napoleon sucks, even if it turns out decent or good; taking your experience into account, on the other hand, will let you enjoy the game (if it turns out decent/good) and will save you cash.
