New type of CTD?

I have steam version of RTW:Gold and everything is up to date. So I downloaded the mod switch version, followed instructions, and the works. I put -mod: RTRPE on the launch options. However, when I open the game during the loading process there was a CTD that said a certain .CAS file was missing and a CTD followed shortly after. Anyway to fix this, please and thank you.

I get the impression you installed the mod in the wrong place...

I didn't copy it but it said something about a stockade missing and I have steam so I downloaded into this file C:\Program Files\Steam\steamapps\common\rome total war gold. I reinstalled everything now, and I'm waiting to install RTRPE again to see if I was a one time fluke but something is tell me its not.
