Default What are the pro's and con's of occupying the Grand Theogonist's Residence?

In my Current Middenland Campaign, the Empire weathered the Storm of Chaos, only to be swallowed by a Green Tide of Orcs. Long Story short, all Counties are gone, safe for myself and Stirland, surviving in a remote, former Dwarven Stronghold, which they captured in the short expansion following the victory over chaos and the death of the dwarves due to the advancing Orc-Horde.

So i'm fighting a full-scale war to regain control over the Empire, thereby swallowing former Counties, as well as the Residence of the Grand Theogonist.
Shortly after, i was prompted to gift the province to the Theogonist again, gaining a reward of 2000 Florins and...well...some other stuff i can't read, as it's still russian.
Same linguistic problem goes for the drawbacks of the whole thing.

So as a true follower of Ulric, i saved and declined, ready for (my guess of) excommunication - however, nothing major happened.

So for the fellow russian speakers out there who know this event: What are the pro's and con's of it?
    Thanks in advance

There really no game breaking advantage to having the Theogonist's pimped out mansion other then it generates a insane amount of income even when under AI control. In one of my Reikland games the AI Theogonist was getting around 19K income from the province.... I have no idea what the AI did to make so much money but it got wasted on armies of nothing but spearmen.

So to sum keeping the province will net you a insane income. But failing to give it back when asked or taking it by force may result in excommunication which is a guarantee in the later case. Check your Pope information screen if you have 50% or less favor with the pope expect to be excommunicated if you fail to give it right back.

Of course being the Chaos corrupted evil bastard I am. I would also inform you that you can use this to make an excuse to break away from and conquer the empire. Of course this is a moot point in your current campaign as their is no Imperial factions to conquer. XD

Same goes for the insane income, i guess. Theres a big highway ranging from Wissenburg over Altdorf, Middenheim and through all of Nord- and Ostland, with each connected city netting about 10k of income each round.

While i waited for the Orcs to finish the other Counts- errrr, while i was sadly distracted, so i couldn't afford to help my allies, this got me a treasure of >2million which i'm now burning in the full scale war. Income is seriously broken, but this way it's kinda fun.
    Anyway, thanks for the answer
