    Default Some questions

Kind of long, but any answers would be appreciated.

    1. Is there no way to recruit generals in ss?

    2. How do I add my own music?

    3. Is there any real benefit to sending military minded new comers of age to a castle? Or is it better to get them out in the field immediately to get hands on experience?

By the way, this is an awesome mod! I'm playing with Aragon and just landed in the Holy Land for my first Crusade.

    4. Oh, I forgot. Also, is there no way choose the heir to the throne? I know you can kill the guy off, but is that it?

    5. Why is some of the retinue non transferrable? Do you guys pass out all of the titles to different members of the family or do you keep them with your one badass?

1, Yes, you need the appropriate level stables buildings in your castles, beware though, there is a 9 turn (or thereabout) waiting period before you can get one, and there is always a pool maximum of 1
    2. Not sure, probably check the modding forum?
    3. From my experience, no. They seem to gain more military minded traits from schools from what I've seen, while admin favouring generals gain more admin based traits. However, I've had generals sitting in citadels for a doxen turns and all they've ended up getting is fat, so you're better of either sending them into the field, tagging them with a successful general and hoping some of his traits will rub off (NO! Not in that way, you dirty dirty man!) on him, or just stick him in a city with a university. I've found that commanders in cities with universities can pick up horse commander traits, and get master archers etc in their retinue, more often than they do in the field, anyways
    4. There is no way to choose the heir to the throne, short of sending out all of the other heirs to their doom and hoping that they guy you liked gets picked next.
    5. I'm not entirely sure why some retinue are non-transferrable, but there does seem to be a limit on how much retinue you can have (like 8 or something). With titles, I find that it's good to spread the them out where cities are concerned, as they often come with a tax bonus for the governor, however, I often send out a promising admin general to my cities to collect their titles as well, and then send them back to a big earning city to gain even more admin bonuses. IMO it's usually not worth keeping generals in castles, unless they have lots of chivalry to give the castle a pop bonus, or if you suspect that the enemy is going to attack it.

    Hope this helps
