    I used google traduction so...

Can the little Corsican, the great strategy game Total War enrich? Sega focuses for the first time on a man and his military history. And for the first time you will be able to play a campaign also cooperative. The preview version we could play, although only two of the tutorials, the campaign in Italy and the battle of Ligny. But even this first Reinschnuppern has provided powerful gunpowder and saber rattling.

    Not 300, but 10,000

A separate historical battles of 1825 will take place at Ligny. How is the multiplayer like? Look at the video!
When the camera pans over the hills and forests of Ligny, you get immediate lust for battle - the sizable raises terrain with rivers, bridges, hills and valleys once the strategic curiosity. And if you hundreds of the mouse, clustered in small formations, protecting, grenadiers, dragoons and artillerymen inspected, while a general (incidentally, all historical figures), commented on the strategic situation, one feels immediately like a general. The final game will depict the career of Napoleon in three campaigns from Italy to Egypt to Moscow, and of course Waterloo. We could start in Corsica and fight our way to Klagenfurt to give the Austrians to stand up and do a historical battle.

While Sega has reduced the number of playable nations to reduce a handful, including Russia, Britain, Prussia and Austria (or possibly) the Ottomans, but more to ensure the characteristics of the Troops: Uniforms and values were revised, so that in particular the line infantry distinction is clear. One notices immediately the effectiveness of the French in this type of weapon, if it goes against Sardinia or Austrians from the artillery and sniper contribute stronger in the early skirmishes. In addition, more individual faces were designed - whopping 64 types will there be in one unit. Although one can theoretically can turn up to 10,000 soldiers visible, but the current version, there was a bit wobbly on his feet.

    Cannon at Ligny

Napoleon on horseback: Actually, the man would indeed be a little thicker and less ... in addition to Creative Assembly so many mistakes and errors in the text of the German version (in the tutorial should be of Englishmen times Spaniard), nor fix.
This time you sit when Napoleon on his horse may, with his moral radius direct influence on his soldiers and fire in a sort of galloping sensitive sectors of the front - where appears the little Corsican, can also motivate troops at a touch. But there is primarily the wise observation from a distance asking, because it crashes, bounces and rumst enormous: My French soldiers have indeed holed up in a building, but that is now occupied by the Prussians in the absence - of a hill from the fire artillery on the roof and below the grenadiers throwing their bombs. Even now, the camera shaking with every explosion and treacherous smoke flares to heaven! If it continues like this, I lose my brave line infantry. Lo and behold, though I still give by clicking the order to retreat, breaks the house collapsed and the enemy infantry and cheer

What Napoleon: Total War at first glance makes little better than its predecessor is the visualization of the struggle in settlements - although we could not see the snow storms and sand dunes in the desert, but mainly on the streets leads to a dramatic tremor in perspective when smashing the balls and left a crater. Moreover, the fixed positions in houses seem to have greater influence. But on second glance, Creative Assembly was here and in all other statistical coverage in the landscape is not consistent enough: Although many houses would offer to storms and Redoubt, one can take only very specific.

    Trench warfare in cities

Carnage in the streets: Prussia and France to fight for every building - unfortunately you can not occupy them all.
Pity also that has done with the animations in the trench warfare of the towns nothing: it draws its ranks by mouse in one position, but the soldiers do not always use context-sensitive cover of walls, walls or trees - this one would also be within a Force, a smoother kneeling, pressed against the wall and crouched behind the tree like. A true successor would have to offer more realistic and intelligent movement, because that is the position in the terrain looks even more miserable.

That one has the structure of the interface with helpful symbols (Moral display icons for troop behavior) and the strategy on the card with something more dynamic enriched: for example, Italy has one only one years time, with each train simulation now two weeks. The excavation of an army, it takes nearly half a year - so you have to conquer efficiently and quickly. And those who just like sending troops to the long journey, is due to wear only a heap of uniformed see arriving misery.

You have to conquests on the map, so to better plan, so that the soldiers be supplied - including passes to play a role as a secret path, so that the study of the ground gaining in importance. Besides a new tech tree, there are three types of urban industry, economy, intellect and we can finally loot back area in order to win money. In addition spies come to sabotage the army and set up networks, and gentlemen who take care with their leaflets for propaganda. How does this affect small changes can not yet be estimated, because in Italy it was more militarily to the point. Even the announcement that hostile nations, in contrast to its predecessor, including ships landed on the coast to launch an invasion, has yet to be tested in longer games.

Outlook Okay, this is an Empire: Total War 1.5, and no real successor in the tradition of the series, which one looks at the technical and substantive leap immediately. But according to the tutorials, the Italian campaign and a great battle at Ligny, I'm looking forward to the little Corsican. One notices very quickly that we must act smarter than before, and even small additions in the presentation, such as the acoustic feedback from the battlefield or the greater weight of the building's struggle for optimism. I think it is indeed a pity that I compete in the free play only with Prussia, Austria, Russia, England and possibly the Ottomans, and that can move the soldiers still not intuitive enough for cover, but for that I applaud the significantly enhanced characteristics of troop types. However, many questions remain unanswered, which only can answer the detailed test: To what extent does the Improved Diplomacy, and the coordination of the "AI Director" look like? The is supposed to ensure that it does not have Napoleon on his way too easily.cooperative campaign on the map? Many questions, but also much anticipation.

    First impression: very good

Do they even have anti-aliasing on? That effect makes it look much smoother and gets rid of the staircase. I love it....

90% of the screenshots showing battles that I have seen look like Mob/Gangs of New York Warfare. One side shooting and the other trying to melee. Sad thing is, these appear to be the historic battles where the AI is mostly scripted to some degree. What' going to happen when the AI isn't scripted?

napoleon's model looks weird. his mouth is too wide. and he has a surprised look on his face. he should have more of a straight brow.
