    Default 4.2 with XCAI or XBAI

    Hi,

    I'm reinstalling this mod, I was just reading through the Xcai/Xbai feedback thread. I'm just wondering does anyone know if either XCAI or XBAI are compatible with KGCM 4.2??

    If they're not is it still possible to download 4.1?

    Any help is appreciated.

    my submod heroes hordes and beyond has included in it the latest versions of xcai and xbai in it (not compatable to pull just those files out and stick with base 4.2 as it has specific files that require the mod (especially the BAI that changes the edu unless you wish to mod the edu of base KGCM 4.2

    Yeah. The BAI as far as I know is less challenging than the CAI. Is it possible to overwrite it with the CAI?

    Your Heroes sub-mod looks like a good addition as well btw!

    ??? Trying to figure out what you mean...BTW I highly recommend you clear your cache when installing new mods...It needs to become a trend..because i you want to see how good the AI really is then it has to get loaded up!! and the files used. Find the XAI forum and read the cache clearing procedure. Less challenging as compared to what??? You should not listen to rumors, and the XBAI that is in soul's mod is newer than 3.4 about 3.8 version. It is more challenging..try it out!!


    Everyone...(now sing along) must clear the cache!! Before playing a new mod an update to the mod..etc!! We need to spread the word...pass it on!!

    Try, Soul Firez's mod it is already in there..about version 3.8

    My cache is cleared. The AI seems ok on VH/VH Ireland took Wexford & Dublin with 10-15 turns but outside of that after 30 turns I haven't really noticed any real changes with other AI factions expanding their territory.

    If I get the XCAI winRAR file and install it would it possibly make the AI more challenging both in battle and on the campaign map?

    So I'm confused. Your saying that the files for XCAI and XBAI are not compatible with the base KGCM 4.2? Only SFs Mod? If so is there any way to get a release that is compatible with the base 4.2 and xmas pack?

    XBAI is compatible plug and play.

    XCAI you need to follow the integration process. We will have files for download in a while.

    Or you can go play Soul Firez's mod..It is already done for you.

    If you do not see a SIGNIFICANT difference you have installed it wrong.

    Strange i applied the XBAI that MikLL gave me for the submod to a clean 4.2 and it crashed i then modded the edu to the same specs as what had been done to the edu in my submod and it worked?? on that bases i believed it not strictly plug and play (its different to the one currently in the download of your sig yes??).

    I could be wrong though wouldnt be the first time probably not the last either

    The "plug and play" part consists of just these 2 files.... config_battle.xml & config_ai_battle.xml
