Okay, let's start from the beginning. Try 0.97, which is installed manually. It's a zip file, so you need to unzip everything into your RTW folder. Once you've done that, you should see a TGW folder there and a TGW.bat file. By running that bat file, the game should run (unless you have a Steam installation, in which case a different procedure is needed).

If it doesn't work, try this. Go to your preferences folder (in your RTW folder) and copy preferences.txt - then go to the TGW folder, go to the preferences folder within that, and overwrite the preferences.txt there with the one you got earlier. I can't think of what else could be wrong...

In the Rome Total War one, in the address line during the installation phase you'd have to put it where your RTW.exe is.

Hm, which version of the mod are you trying to install? Is it the one with the installer or one of the previous ones, which come in zip form?

We need more details. Is this during the downloading phase? While you're installing? What OS do you have?

I'm guessing the issue is because you're running your pc with some OS (I'm not sure if Win Vista has it) that protects the Program Files folder if you don't have admin rights. If you are the admin, then you have to right click the installer icon and press "Run as administrator". If not, please give us details of what's wrong

The 0.97 version is on mediafire it seems (I don't remember putting it there; it must have been someone else in the group), and the 0.98b version is up on megaupload.
