The independece war was the sells boost for Empire, as we know this means much for the American people. They have a dedicated campaign and a expancion in ETW. In NTW they are out. Plus other nations , like india,Mexico, etc who arent represented in Napoleon ,could means less sales than in Empire?

No, I don't think so... These kind of games aren't shooters everyone likes but games you can barely get a similar one for and so if they want a game like this they won't buy it for their own faction to be in it but for the game itself.. atleast.. that's what I think.

It's a case of anyone with an interest in the Napoleonic period will buy the game no matter if you come from Australian, America, India or even Timbuktoo!

    That's the selling point, Napoleon.

Of course. Just like with movies, Americans dont want to consume anything thats not US centered. How dare anyone suggest the US isnt the only country in the world?!

Because a game/movie without a US flag and a US (black) president, isn't a good game/movie!!! (for USA)

LMAO! How the hell does he even plan on unsheathing that sword?!

I don't know why everyone is so damn whiny about Americans hoping America would be in the game. I never even played the Road To Independence campaign but i'd hoped America would be in a game like NTW. How the hell does that make someone selfish? If you're British do you by the game and then the first thing you do is play a campaign as the French?

The main reason i don't like that there isn't an American faction is because it means they shrunk the map from 3 down to 1. Personally i like having three maps because you get that much more of a diversity of fighting and strategy. And for the whiners out there complaining about how it is too much to care for. Well quit your whining and abandon the Americas and India and focus on Europe.

    A game/movie without the US interventions/patrionism is a good game/movie!

Yep, there will be a bit less sells, because of the US ignorance about non-US stuff.

I guess no Americans bought STW, MTW, RTW or MTW2 because there wasn't an american faction available.

In M2TW there were Aztecs and in the Kingdoms expansion the Natives of North and South American were playable, so there technically were American factions in M2TW.

There weren't any of todays countries in RTW, does that mean that no one bought the game?

easy answer, no us means less americans playing the game but not a lot less (no offence to the americans) there are some patriots which are deeply offeneded when a game doesn't feature their country (I remember someone complaining about having to play as the "frogs") and if you look at all the shooters/modern rts 90% of them have a single player centred around the us

I guess all the non-American posters who constantly say that they wouldn't buy an American Civil War TW are the same as we "ignorant" Ameircans. I feel like some of you guys are only unmasking your own predjudice. American gamers will generally buy a game that they think will be good. Remember, we are a nation of immigrants from your own countries. Many Americans; myself included; enjoy playing a faction of the "old country".
