Anyone else noticing this? Every single time I see a thread with the mark of a CA employee, they say one thing and then leave the thread.

They almost never answer questions, and when people try to get beck to them, they are silent.

I find this ridiculous. If they are hear to inform us on their games, then why the hell do they never respond to our questions. They sidestep the point of threads to throw out a stupid little advertisement, and then retreat back into the shadows.

Cmon CA, if you don't want to give us answers, then why are you here?

That's how you know they are doing their job right, any good spokesperson sidesteps a real question to say something they want to without answering the question.

They occasionally do do a good job, but in all respect suspense is a big thing for a games hype. If they answered every question, somethings would change, some things would not be a surprise when playing the game for the first time, and many questions that people are asking have been answered at least ten times already and would be a waste for them to answer.

Pretty simple really. One cannot be held accountable for something they have never said or done. Some of the questions that people bring up may to some degree show CA in a not so favorable light. That is if those questions were to be answered truthfully. However, many times, it's best not to give any kind of answer at all. Because any answer can be twisted into something incriminating. Just as an example. Lawyers will often tell their clients that they do not have to answer questions. No matter if those answers are truthful or are plain lies.

You can also view CA's sidestepping questions as them simply saying "No comment".

Circumlocution, dissimulation, obfuscation: that pretty much summarizes what Kieran get's paid for in regards to making customer service calls like the ones he does here (that's not an insult, just an observation about his job responsibilities).

Nope. Never noticed. They always seem to answer each question accurately and with detail.

    I love you.

    Seriously though :

But a good spokesperson know how to hide that he is sidestepping questions. Kieran does it well. Or at least, does it way better than the others. The worst really is O'Connor though. It looks like his boss told him "get your butt on that forum and show them we care" when he has no desire to do so and is having no fun doing it.

Kieren himself said to judge CA by their actions. I suggest everyone do this. I have only seen words. They keep dangling a Carrot in front of us that they are not done supporting ETW. But actions say otherwise.

They are trying to give everyone just enough false hope until they get your $$ for NTW, then it appears they'll sneak away in the cover of darkness.

I cannot believe how bad the BAI is in ETW and people deny there is a problem.

Firstly, CA employees don't have time to check the dozens of posts and get in full scale discussions, Secodly they want to keep some suspense, and thirdly, I personally find their answers very informative. Kieran has done a pretty good job discussing TW without giving away everything.

Yes he is, but he is/was one of us. I am impressed how he ignores sarcastic rude comments and still politely answers questions, top chap really!

I think maybe you're too new here to fully appreciate the truth behind the sarcasm (though maybe you've been lurking for longer). In April of last year, CA completely vanished from this site with the exception of Jack Lusted. They refused to answer anything about anything for months upon months, whether you posted it here or went to the official site. Even Lusted would only respond to questions about unit design and multiplayer. Suddenly--bam--we get the bum rush treatment about how much they appreciate us and how they want to earn our business (which is probably true and perhaps an indication that they're fretting about NTW sales). The answers they're suddenly providing out of the blue completely ignore months of people asking wtf is going on and receiving nothing but silence. So there are all kinds of things that Kieran et al. are whitewashing, completely ignoring, and clearly lack the cojones to confront that may not be obvious to someone who hasn't been around for a while.

Just keep watching the boards. As soon as the game is out, I'm expecting that all their staff will drop off the radar when the user reviews start rolling in.

Yep. They sidestep anything uncomfortable or useful and answer only the easy superficial questions. Truth is, they don`t want the true fans, they want slaves who will never question CA`s motives or quality and will just buy buy buy.

    Well, bye, bye.
