    Default Editing the 'Normal' File

Just curious if someone could lend a hand here, how does one go about editing the normal file to remove buttons, tunrback etc. so they do not appear on a model after a reskin.

    Thanks,

You will need Photoshop of course or some related program that can open the normal file. Then in the Normal file using either the smudge tool or clone stamp tool remove what you do not want in RGB, then save.
Now go to the Alpha 1 and "duplicate" the channel, then do the same amendments in there. delete the original Alpha 1 and rename the Alpha 1 copy to Alpha 1.
Thats it!! just make sure that your gloss file corresponds also with the Normal file, otherwise you will see the gloss of the buttons etc..show ih the game.
