Default Question For CA, Regarding Naval Battlemaps In Napoleon

What the title says. My question is - as RTW/M2TW/ETW etc have all had their battlemaps based on the *red square* in the campaign map, I've wondered why, for example, as the UK when fighting the French in the English Channel the battlemap was far out to sea?

My main question is, in Napoleon, will this end? Will I finally be able to see landmass nearby if the battle takes place near land?

A response would be grand. Cheers =)

Rome and M2TW were based on a grid system, with the *red squares* I think you are talking about. ETW, did not however. There weren't any naval battles fought near land. Because NTW is working off ETW, I don't see this as happening, but who knows.

shame.... i think its a bit annoying when you fight in the irish sea, and theres no landmass at all, considerin that I can see scotland and the isle of man from where I live on a clear day ¬_¬

I agree with you, Emperor Exonphon, but the small interest in naval battles of some ppl in ETW made CA do less to naval battles in NTW. The single feature about sea in NTW is that ships can repair in battles.

Not a game breaking feature if not including but it adds immersion. we can hope but don't expect to much.
