Installation Failure

V. Known issues

The installer does not work correctly with M2TW used via Steam.

Well, known issues are no good without known corrections

And I happen to have the above known issue.
I've installed, uninstalled, reinstalled, a very large number of times the broken crescent mod into both the common/medieval ii total war/ AND the medieval ii total war/mods directories. (Not both at the same time, though).

The launcher does not detect broken crescent and the bc_launch.bat doesn't function either.
patch 2.02 doesn't help the problem.

Would love to use this mod.

do you get any error message or preferably an error log?

You problem is a technical problem, therefore it belongs to the Tech Help Forum - it's notceable among other BC sub-forums. If you go there you'll see two stickied threads addressed to the Steam users. I hope it will help you.

I didn't get any error message.
No error log (at least as far as a search for 'error' in the M2TW tells me)
Note that I have successfully installed 1143 (a Reconquista mod) and Retrofit mod.

Error? Why? You can't install the mod under Steam, can you?

did the trick!
After a short amount of registry editing (I had to will myself pretty hard to do that), it works!
