    Default Education

Hi there community, I'd like to ask a question about education.

When a new militarily minded general comes of age, do you put him in a place with a school or just in a castle?

    Thanks in advance

EDIT: nvm, it's answered already. this post may be deleted

I dunno, usually admin minded have traits that engourage them to send them to school. I havent checked for sure tho.. Also i want to point out: Admin minded generals can also govern cities as well as castles equally well, while military ones prefer the battlefields.. Or at least i think so. I for myself i usually put my new generals to do some homework

I believe that military education is based on the barracks level in the castle that the general is sent to. Admin benifits from schools/libaries/universities.

And build uni's everywhere if you have the money, even old guys benefit from them (especialy if they have a "scholar" trait).

Don't "military minded" generals benefit from cities with Military Academies?

I believe they do. However, I've noticed that when playing an Eastern nation (and it may well be the same for western nations) that generals who are placed in a city with a university can often acquire master horse commander traits among others, whilst generals placed in high level castles do not seem to gain any new traits/retinues, at least from what I've noticed

Winning victories on the battlefield does for sure improve the military education of your generals, i first noticed this in my mongol campaing, suddenly all my generals had the "advanced military education" then a few guys picked up the "master strategist" trait.
Notice: i exterminated every damn single city/castle and moved on as quickly as possible, so it is possible to make a master strategist out of a man who believe that "book" is a synonym for "burn" (you don't need to build anything or studie anything to train him).
