Somethings wrong with the AI
I recently installed RTR again and started a new campaign. The year is 251 BC
This time the AI acts very wired, they don't seem to expand, i play as Rome and most of the land north of Italy (Austria Germany...) is still rebel, no factions been destroyed and i rarely get attacked.
When i attack an enemy they don't seem to move before move all way to them and start hitting them.
Anybody experienced this before or have an idea whats wrong?

No idea what the problem could be. What difficulty is it you're playing on? Have you considered starting a new campaign and seeing if the AI behaves any differently?

Every game can be different. That is one of the best aspects of Total War. The difficulty level may have a lot to do with the power and expansion of other factions. Try Hard/Hard or Very Hard/Very Hard difficulty. If you want other factions to attack you play as Thrace and invade Macedonia or Gaul and invade Illyria. Sometimes Rome can be a cakewalk.
Many times rebels can be very powerful with full stacks and a ton of experience. Many times factions will never take a well fortified rebel city. I am currently playing a campaign as Bactria and 100 years in Sicily is still dominated by rebels.
