    Default Breaking a peace

Playing as the High Elves i made a peace with Isengard and a trade agreement. I got fed up of fighting on two fronts against the OOTMM and Isangard. So my plan is finish off the OOTMM then finish taking out Isengard.

Then i got to wondering if i start a war with Isengard after agreeing a peace do i take a reputation hit?

i dont think they moded that out, so attacking any faction to start a war, means a reeputation hit

I think you can avoid that by moving troops to their territory without military access (best near their cities). That will damage your relationship until they inevitably attack you.

I thought that it was impossible to attack allied factions... ( or maybe thats RC/RR )
If you do attack, send a diplomat and cancel the alliance - i think this way, you don't take a rep hit.

Although i could be making this up

    Cease fire not alliance.

I don't think the rep hit would be that much, if you cancel a real alliance then yes your reputation will be lowered.

What do you need reputation for anyway?

Yes having good relations/alliance increases your reputation, while having bad relations decreases it. If you let the enemy attack you first, then the impact on reputation is smaller or if they are in your territory you can attack them without suffering to much from the reputation hit.

You can also warn them of an attack with a diplomat eg send diplo and ask give me mony acept or ill attack this also limits rep hit when you attack them
