Default Great work on RS 1.6 ... and looking forward to RS2.!!

    Hi Guys and Gals

My first post on the forum and I'd like to just thank the RS dev's for doing a really amazing job... I've been visually shocked while playing RS1.6 and am looking forward to RS2!

Campaign wise.. I'm playing the Selecuids (Very Hard) and its been an eye opener in how difficult RS is compared to Vanilla RTW - at war with Pergamon (eventually destroyed them but some crazy battels),the Ptolemaics, Parthia and Freepeople right from the start!

Has anyone put a guide together for the Selecuids, esp which buildings and which cities to go build up first as the Selecuids have so many cities that need to be built up from scratch? Right now, I'm fighting the Ptolemaics on their turf, fending off the Partians (they're proving way too hard at times) and now the Armenian's. Regards unit selection .. why do the Selecuids get such a poor variety of troops from the get go apart from Babylon ?

Best units so far - Cretan /Syrian Archers and the humble peltasts!

    Cheers

Now back to munching on me Bagel!

If i was playing as the seleucids i would command the defence of any of the towns that are besieged by your many enemies at the start just to cause some massive casualties and even if you lose the city it is no big deal, as you can just build up massive armies in your core regions and retake everything and destroy all your enemies in one all out attack.

I don't believe there is a seleucid guide made yet, however I'd say focus building up your main cities and maybe let some smaller ones rebel.

Seleucid campaign is one the hardest on RS1.6
