Maybe I also need to say that in Europe things are much more exspensive and therefore we get highter loan.

    But yeah, it's still much...

I wonder why SEGA has such prices in continental Europe. I preordered NTW and plan to preorder both Aliens vs. Predator 3 form UK and in total they both cost ~45€, cheaper than either of them in a local shop...

I think NTW will be worth to buy but SEGA is a company of Japanese economic animals.

Nobody, absolutely nobody, can give you an opinion worth anything until after the game has been released. Don't listen to the people who scream "OMG NOES Its gonna suxxorz because EMPIRES DID TOOOOO" or "YES IT'LL BE THE BEST TOTAL WAR EVAR LOLOLOL".

You'll have to wait and see. Don't listen to the fire-starters from either camp, because they're both 100% wrong. Check back in here at TWC a week or two after the game has been released, and then let the discussions speak for themselves.

This man has much wisdom. I have over 800 hours played in ETW,... so at around 8 cents an hour... where can you be entertained for that price.

What is the purpose of such a thread? theres is tons of them, just ask your question in one of them
it depends on you if it is worth buying it. if you know you gonna play it a lot then go ahead, if you will play it for 2 weeks and then you wanna have a new game, just skip it

    Short answer: No.

Long answer: Absolutely not it will simply be what Empire should have been but with a much more linear and restrictive campaign and on top of that they charge stand alone price for it. It will play exactly the same way with a few extra gimmicks.

I didn't buy ETW, probably wont buy NTW either... Maybe after some patches and mod are out I might buy NTW...
I'm quite happy with RTW and MTW2 mods, some of them are excellent and much more deserving of my limited gaming time, could say the same thing for paradox plaza games these days (EU:Rome & EU:III FTW!)..

Total War, as a franchise, has well and truly lost the plot.. The company is (and has been for some time unfortunately) handcuffed by Sega, hence they are run my PR coordinators, bean counters and bloody accountants, people who (for the most part) know nothing of the game being produced or the history of the franchise. Thus during the development process they have unrealistic and impossible time-frames for which the game to be completed (Hence the multitude of ridiculous and game-breaking glitches, errors, bugs and oversights), hence they now (CA/SEGA) release rubbish products. I didn't boycott on purpose, more to the point, I just couldn't be bothered buying it...
