Too strong hobbits

am I the only one who thinks that hobbit archers are way too strong?
I mean ok, they have a bow, snagas have bow too, but 6 melee attack and 8 defence?
cme on, eriador hunters have 4/6 and they are supposed to be adult men, not some 12 years old children

what do you think?

try RR/RC hobit attack is just 1 defense still 8 the hunters have an attack of 2 but only 6 defense so they stronger (twice on the attack ) but easier to hit hobbits are well known for being tough to smash being so small and kinda nimble for little fat kids

yea its weird that small children are stronger then full grown men - and lumbermen should be even stronger then townsfolk

It's not all about size!
Hobbits may be small, but their dexterity and dodging abilities make them harder to hit and even dangerous in combat!
Therefore I don't think they are overpowered.

And secondly Eriador has not many strong units at the moment. So I think it's justified - because of balance reasons - to have them a bit more powerful than an average archer unit!

I am all for them having a high defense value certainly but a high attack i cant recall any great warriors amongst the hobbits ( a few lucky kill incidents attributted to hobbits but not ones who where good straight out fighters) defense is one thing they are small nimble and very tough to hit specially for larger opponents

Again i would suggest RR/RC which has balanced factions more acording to there actual strengths and weakness

I dont doubt the strength in his heart only the reach of his arm bit of a miss quote there but yes they were serious men but men who stood for the most part under 4 foot tall

Exactly the size to stab unarmored knees
But seriously, although hobbits are not that strong, their dexterity is not switched off, just because they are in attack mode. And I think, as you can see in the movies, when Merry and Pip bring down their sparring-partner Boromir, they have a few other qualities, like teamwork.
Of course they probably shouldn't have a charge bonus (or at least a lower charge bonus than the huntsmen).

At first I thought it's squad of Hobbits, who were raised by Saxton Hale.

Then I realized that if they were raised by him, they would use their BARE CHESTS as armor, and would use their FISTS to fight, and would also have Armor Piercing. And bonus against cavalry. And would one-shot even Nazgul.

And they would be badass, not those tiny itty-bitty men they are.

I thought they just sent some support troops - which I thought were healers or something like that - non fighting members of the army

To me, that seems like a "Battle of Endor" moment for the Lotr franchise, and the hobbits are Ewoks. I preferred the Elves to them (which is saying something, since I don't really like Elves either). Anyway, I don't really mind them being stronger than lumber men and what not, since they my have better equipment or training.

now were on the topic.. when ish can we expect this remake? i know its a lot to ask so early after patch but. i want to play eriador without having sucky/ugly units! their locations and background is just my style anyways this mod is awesome and it burns my time away!
