And if you watched the damn episode with your ears open you'll know that
Spanish King lends them to the British as a gift.
Wellington doesn't want such a useless band of soldiers. They're a royal bodyguard, never done a bit of real soldiering in their life.
He decides to station them near the French line so those that can desert find it easy to do so.
He also decides to give them a drillmaster who he knows will not get along with their colonel.
He orders Sharpe and his new command into the mountains to either do their job and deal with the French and French loyal partisans in the mountains or die and get out of his hair.
they are a foreign infantry regiment (irlanda) in the Spanish army.
Irishmen serving in the Real (Royal) Army. Not altogether uncommon.
Great Lusted!
So basing on this screenshot tell me: who are they more similiar to?
or
Answer is: either/neither of them becouse you cant make anything look right!

Looks very KGL to me
[Col] RO Citizen
KGL= Kings German Legion, and if that screen that Lusted said is a KGL light company is what he says it is its another thing for modders, they should look like this:
Shoot coward! You are only going to kill a man!
I don't know much about this era in history but if they look like the KGL...why are they in the Spanish army? Are we even sure if this company ever existed? or if it is just based on companies like it that didn't look exactly the same as the one portrayed in this series.
Yep, a kinda continuation of the Hessian troops from the Us Indep War, but the KGL were better trained.
[Col] RO Citizen
Apart from Hessian troops were as almost as well trained as Prussians...
The KGL however were some of the best German units of the war, along with the Black Brunswickers, and some others who fought for the French...
Especially at La Haye Sante, the KGL put up a good fight...
Shoot coward! You are only going to kill a man!
Well these Germans put on very convincing Galway accents in the Sharp series.
I jsut watched the whole episode and its ing brilliant.
