It seems that it has been used for several stuffs. I found 2 or 3 jobs on internet using that pic as reference

Btw, is there any specific meaning with the owl on the samurai shoulder?

There actually is a meaning with the owl, same with the temple in the background and the rocks on the ocean shore. Though I think it is better if I leave the interpretation of the symbols to each to their own; it gets donkey if I try to tell how I read it.

I think the character could blend in a bit better with the environment, it looks cool and it's obviously skilled work but for some reason the character seems too blue in relation to the lighting he is in. Just my two cents.
