    Default Which sub mods to choose for 1.4?

    Allister talked about which sub mods were available for 1.4. I know there probably isn't much, but some that I have seen and read about seem okay. However, I am not sure about downloading any sub mods for 1.4 because maybe a 1.5 might be coming around? Who knows, maybe Kong will through in another version. I think I will stick to 1.4 at its original state until the King comes out with another version. Any thoughts?

    Well i have only one mod which i am very please with, lord of the ring mod made by
    Nirnaeth Arnoediad , i must say- total awsomeness

    Believe me 1.5 isn't coming out just a month after 1.4.

    @Jean=A=Luc Didn't say in a month friend. Said it might come around, does not necessarily mean in a month. It could mean next year. Who knows, only the people that made the mod know, right? My apologies for startling you. Cheers!

    I believe the mighty Kong has committed to returning to SS for more work there so it will be a while before 1.5 hits the forums for all us eager fans to download i also agree with the RR/RC submod alot of brilliant submods rolled into one package

    What about that Divide and Conquer expanded factions sub mod? I am no to sure myself. I read about it and seen pictures, but really don't know. The RR/RC mod seems okay. Any sure suggestions?

    You can actually have both divide and conqueor and rr/rc as well divide and etc etc is done in its own mod folder so will not affect TATW at all where as rr/rc mods tatw directly there both great submods get them both

    I recommend RC/RR for version 1.4. It is an excellent sub-mod

    I concur this is the best but haven't played the Lord of the Ring Mod. However I have had it crash when I eliminate a faction and wonder if any others have had this problem with RC/RR 1.4?

    The RC / RR mod for 1.4 is the best expansion at the moment.. the ring mod doesn't work properly as i believe.. it starts with the starting movies that does not show.. and later on in the game.. there is nothing heard of the ring or a whole empire is screwed up.. :p

    i myself tried to combine some minor mods for more diversity but it doesn't work so far

    I think that may be where your error lays in your combinig mods as i can assure you the ring mod does indeed work as intended my last campaign farimir took the ring and destroyed it at mount doom(nice vid plays by the way execellent work indeed) i have combined it with the RR/RC mod if you are carefull and use examdiff(or similar program) then you can get it to work as the basic submod does infact work properly

    When submodding a game always keep a full copy of the original so then when updates to the main game come out you can swap back in the unmodded version to update and then when submods are made for the new version apply them then (again after making a copy of the original game in its pure form .)
    it is never a good idea to patch over new updates for TATW onto a submodded version of the game many errors can happen doing this

    thx for the tip about keeping copies.. but the ring mod does not work properly on my vanilla 1.4, off course after i mod even more nothing works xD.. so it is possible to rework the rr/rc mod and the ring in one mod? that would be great

    The "One Ring Mod" will be included in TATW 1.5.

    the lord of the ring mod is already included in my version of RR/RC and why because i got off my butt and modded the files to make it compatable but i look forward to 1.5 when i no longer have to keep modding rr/rc to keep it compatable with the ring mod

    DaC has permission to use our stuff. Upon this, it's up to their decision what to pick or not.

    We probably will use half of frome's units, mostly as aor units.

    Edit: Dunland will of course be used completely. They are just how I wanted them. (and adviced them)

    My advice is to wait until the Expanded Map mod is updated for the newer patches - just ain't the same game without it
