Adding officers

    Question for CA

Will the general officers be stored in a table/file that will be accessible to modders?

While I appreciate that 50 generals is a decent pool, I would like to be able to add to/change the list of generals available to a nation. My understanding is that the player will not be able to add generals in the game and that new ones (beside the 50) will not be spawn during game play either.

Also, is there any chance to add a diplomatic option to require a nation to make peace with another as part of diplomatic negotiations? (maybe as a future patch?)

I appreciate that you guys are trying not to repeat the issues associated with the release of ETW - let's hope that these efforts will be successful

    Regards

They aren't saying anything about NTW's modability other than that it's "an issue to which we have devoted resources" whatever that means. I would imagine that things like that will be moddable like they were in ETW. However, the bigger concern is whether or not there will be modders around who are capable of making tools--most of those people are gone. It'll be a matter of whether or not they come back or if there are others who have the programming expertise to fill their shoes.

As long as we have a Pack Manager, a DB Editor and an ESF Editor we should be fine. I do expect that the version of these tools available for ETW will have to be only slightly modified to work on NTW

CA providing a data dictionary for the tables and esf objects would go a long way...

I think it will be an open code (maybe in a db)
