A list of movies, books and TV series' where you wish the supposed "bad guys" would have won. Please elaborate.

    1. Pirates of the carribbean - at world's end: Why would I even want to support pirates? They interrupt trade, they use good ships for dishonest missions, and worst of all: they steal, llot, pillage and kill. The east india company had it right by trying to eliminate them!
    2. 300 - I am slightly imperialistic, so I wish the Persians would have won. But let's leave that aside. It's just that the Spartans are baby murderers, enslavers, looters and oppressive in general. While the Persians actually freed all the slaves. Also, the Spartans were stupid(300 men? really? Without even using body armor?)
    3. Star wars - The rebels are not cool enough for me. And it would just take YEARS to number all the cool things the empire's got.

If you base it solely off the movie - maybe I guess whatever. But of course there were lots of other Greeks non Spartans doing neat things like inventing democracy... In passing the Persians did not free slaves that's a canard (which did not appear in the movie as far as I know).

Are you sure? Didn't Cyrus free all slaves? And isn't holding slaves against Zoroastrianism?

Are you kidding just think about how black and shinny every single Imperial ship is - the taxes to sustain the Imperial demand for Windex and Armor All and Floor Wax must have been crippling.

hmm sure, but then again, the empire has PLANETS under its control, so they shouldnt lack resources to build it themselves.

No he did not - the ideal is based on a politically motivated translation of the Cyrus Cylinder - which even if correct (and it not) applies to just one place.
For the misuse of the Cyrus Cylinder see this:

    http://www.livius.org/ct-cz/cyrus_I/cyrus_cylinder.html

Its also trivial to show slave sale records form Babylon under Persian rule and sources that make Greek Chios under Persian rule a major exported of slaves including serving the King's (the Persian King that is) court demand for boys and girls... I posted the relevant evidence here before but if you want I can again.

And isn't holding slaves against Zoroastrianism
I have no ideal - but facts are facts the Persians did nothing to eliminate slavery in their kingdom, and even if you don't call them slaves I not sure a boy captured by Greeks sold to the King and castrated to be a eunuch would say he was anything but a slave even if the Persians called him something different

Never saw that one. But I assume the blue aliens win 'cause they're the good guys. In comparison to.... Let's guess: a Technologically and numerically superior well-organised army?

Worst, they win because of some mother-earth crap, basically divine intervention.

Defies the purpose of basing a story off Thermopylae doesn't it?

Well, in Star Wars, the Empire did win...only after a long time, and in a roundabout sort of way. Read the Expanded Universe novels and comics, and play the Jedi Knight series of games. Basically, after the Battle of Endor, the Empire kept going on and staved off defeat for around a decade, despite a crippling civil war among the warlords. Eventually, the Imperial Remnant made a bilateral peace with the New Republic, so the Galactic Empire itself never really dissolved. In a war for the survival of a state, if your state isn't destroyed, I'd call that a win.

Plus, they joined the Galactic Alliance, helped fight off the Yuuzhan Vong, and appointed a new Imperial dynasty (with Luke Skywalker's influence). About a hundred years later, they conquered the GFFA (see: NJO series, and Star Wars Legacy).

I played JK:JA and Imperial Remnant is cool, but we are talking about the movies, and Darth Vader should have won all the way, pwning the Rebels. Or at least, like Darth told Luke, rule the galaxy like father and son. Luke would have then have the power on the empire and no need to make a Rebellion when he can change Empire back to Republic, but then again, its really hard not to have a flaw in a very complex story like Star Wars.

Well more than just the Spartans fought in the battle as well I think there was over 1200 other greek soldiers who fought along with the Spartans and not in the way seen on the movie 300, actually fought in line with the spartans because lets face it 300 its a gross understatement of the true numbers the greeks had, let alone the Athenian lead navy which actually won the war for the Greeks primarly later on, they kept the Persian navy from getting behind the Spartans and other Greeks by fending off the Persian navy and keeping the majority of it distracted as well during the early days. I think whether also played a good role at one point which was sadly the only thing seen on 300 about the naval aspect of the war.

Heck yes, do you know how many planets were still in support of the Empire when the REBELS some how won. StarWars never made sense anyways one reason it fell out long ago as the best "SCIFI" world in my book, when I started growing up. The Empire Ruled, if you supported it and didn't give them reason to suspect your planet of Treason your system fared very well under the Galactic Empire. But starwars makes soldiers look like retarded monkeies and officers look like Civilian Commanders worse than those in America's War of 1812 were the Americans literally got their butts handed to them and captial burned to the ground.

I say My Choice would be Mobile Suit Gundam 0083 StarDust Memory and Char's Counter Attack... yes sure the Zeon's wanted to drop a colony on Earth and cause mass distruction but the EARTH Deserved it, and the lengths the Zeon's fought to get that colony to fall, they actually succeeded, but their last stand with their backs to the Earths Atmosphere and the Federation fleet on all sides and front, was so sad, you just wanted them to win. Badly wish Cima and her Marines won as well despite betraying the other Zeons, Zeons in General pretty much were wiped out at the end including the Marines who became turn coats, because some Federal forces didn't agree to them joining their side so they were fighting foe from two sides. When a soldier asked Cima that they had to retreat because they didn't stand a chance at winning Cima's only replay was "where" in that reference, because there was no place for them to run to, with enemies at their back, and front. Cima was pretty much one of the major villians in the show, but she also seemed to care a lot about her soldiers they survived three long years as exiles from Zeon and criminals by the Federation so thats saying something about their character, other Zeon's only allowed them to help when they realised they were desperate for man power for Operation StarDust. However, Cima and her Marines didn't forget how they were treated by their own at the end of the War three years earlier.

Ahh Cima and her Marines.... irregulars they look to be with how they dress and act.

Char's Counter Attack it was very much the same thing, but by then I grown to hate Earth in Gundam SOO much, that I'd root for it's distruction. Of course the Zeon's always lose. Char's Counter Attack was just epic, seemed no matter what the Federation tried to do the Zeons were still winning on it, then suddenly they just lost...... *cries*
