Dacia masquerading as Thracian Family Member

Well, this was a surprise. My diplomat was following a road quite happily, and BOOM! There stood a family member from out of this world...! Dacia? What is this faction? Surely it shouldn't be showing in RTRPE?!



P.S. For those doubters out there, this picture has not been edited in any way other than being cropped. It's 100% genuine!

Any ideas how this could have happened? The banner is still that of the Thracian faction - just the description that's changed.

When you wanna change the faction's name you have to change it in many differerent lines. Each line is about a character type (like spies,diplomats etc ) so maybe the RTRPE team might have missed the faction heir line. I suppose that it still says "thracian" in all other characters.

Yeah, in the text folder, the expanded_bi has the following:

{EMT_DACIA_FACTION_HEIR} Dacian Faction Heir

Elsewhere, you see things like

{EMT_DACIA_FACTION_LEADER} Thracian Faction Leader
{EMT_DACIA_CAPITAL} Thracian Capital

The expanded file (which I suppose is for RTW rather than BI) doesn't have this.

Thank you, both of you. I found the file and corrected the name. Just a case of knowing where to look.


By the way, as an aside, do you know if it's possible to mute the campaign map without muting the battles? I was just wondering if there was a way of coding this in (since there doesn't seem to be an obvious check-box option) rather than flipping to the options menu every time.
