    Default Animals contribution?

Yes this is another topic about animals, i feel close to animals so it's an important topic for me!

Do you guys think it's possible for animals to contribute to our health? What i mean is do you think people with pets/bonds to animals feel healthier and happier in their life?

I believe that animals give us so much in terms of happiness, love and joy that they contribute to making our lives better. I believe that people that has been around animals for a long time feel better and less stressed about things.

Just a question i wanted to ask.

"Every idea is an incitement. It offers itself for belief and if believed it is acted on unless some other belief outweighs it or some failure of energy stifles the movement at its birth. The only difference between the expression of an opinion and an incitement in the narrower sense is the speaker's enthusiasm for the result. Eloquence may set fire to reason." -Oliver Wendell Holmes Jr.

Well domestic cats' purring has been proven to speed up bone repair. A cheetah's purr is almost magical in its healing power.

    Didn't know that, cool.

Perhaps it would be a good idea to keep a cheetah in the backyard then!

You'd need a big backyard. I know a girl that works with them in a safari park, she says they're the most docile and human friendly of the big cats.

Indeed, many Africans have them as 'hunting dogs', using them in hunts and company and in return giving them food and the village to run around in.
A new mobile phone tower went up in a town in the USA, and the local newspaper asked a number of people what they thought of it. Some said they noticed their cellphone reception was better. Some said they noticed the tower was affecting their health.

A local administrator was asked to comment. He nodded sagely, and said simply: "Wow. And think about how much more pronounced these effects will be once the tower is actually operational."

I feel sad for people that don't like animals, they don't know what they are missing out on.

personally i think animals can make you happy, sometimes when i'm feeling down or want to vent some anger i will talk to one of my dogs. the best part is my dogs dont get offended when i use extremely harsh language (i dont do this very much nowadays since i am married and all)

In all honesty i dont think that animals could bring you any benefits that any otherwise happy life would.
On the other hand if you feel unhappy without pets, then by all means they might have health benefits. Not everyone does though. I doubt forcing someone who hates pets to live with them would be very beneficial to that persons health

Animals can give you health both in terms of companionship for those who like that kind of thing, and in terms of eating them for a healthy diet. I personally much prefer the latter.

Animals certainly contribute to our health. If you kill an animal and consume it, well, I suppose you can eat a bit of an animal without killing it outright, you will absorb its proteins and fats to add to your own energy reserves. You can also tear the skin or fur off an animal to make a servicable coat or even dwelling to keep you warm and able to survive in the most aggressive of habitats. Further fats, oils and blubber can be rendered down for fuel for safe cooking, warmth, and perfume.

So yes, I think animals do make us feel healthier and happier!
