    Default Trolls

    Iam wondering if there is a way for the trolls attack to be changed so that it can launch and kill several soilders at a time. Sorta of like saurons attack in lotr tw but weaker.If you can help and tell me if its possible for the mtw 2 engine that would be awesome. Also if its something simple that i can do myself could you tell me how to do it.

    this is an awesome idea. it's pretty unrealistic that trolls cant swing their clubs through a unit and take out multiple enemies, or at least a knock back

    You could edit the edu file to give them the area attribute to their attack. I'm not sure if it would work or how it would look with a melee unit as I think it was just meant for artillery.

    Since ents can do it, then Trolls can do it.
    alhoon is not a member of the infamous Hoons: a (fictional) nazi-sympathizer KKK clan. Of course, no Hoon would openly admit affiliation to the uninitiated.

    I think ents can do it because they are elefants. Trolls are infantry, and I dont know if it is possible to to apply that attribute to infantry.

    You can change them to elephants but then they will:
    Act weird when used by AI.
    Animations would look weird.

    The fighting on the walls would be realistic they don't fit on those ladders

    IMO ents should be more powerful than trolls.

    Also the Balrog is also infantry... that means that a balrog can fight on walls.

    Really? with 12 trolls I killed 20 ents in a custom battle.

    Replay with giving the trolls to the AI.
    You should also constantly recharge with Ents, don't let them stay in close combat all the time.

    Heh, I have strandled the ents with some crappy infantry (goblins I think) and hit them with the trolls as the Ents were busy killing the goblins.

    Also giving the trolls to the AI and constantly recharging with the ents, doesn't make the ents more powerful than the trolls. I could kill the trolls with cavalry that way, that doesn't make cavalry more powerful than trolls.

    Bit misleading everything is more powerfull in the players hands

    In my experience ents are much more powerful than trolls in one on one fights, at least with just 1.4. I had a unit of ents fight two units of trolls, and the ents killed most of the trolls before their defeat.

    The second guy who posted (old_dude) gave you a straight answer. Try testing it and you might even provide one yourself.

    Just add area to the stat_pri_attr line and try a custom battle.
