It's from Frazetta's various "Death Dealer" paintings. (C. is the original Death Dealer.) His art was used in a lot of fantasy work afaik, so it very well may have been used in "Fire and Ice," in fact that does ring a bell. My profile currently shows the full image, slightly photoshopped for colour tone and border.

Damn, I was looking for an excuse to prolong my shower time (I like taking long showers). I wish I had thought of this.
