Nice piece of info, thanks for sharing! In the "Liberations confirmed" thread I actually speculated on how cool it would be to have a Catalonian satellite-state as an anti-Spanish ally.

Client-states are looking like a better feature every day. I'm keeping my fingers crossed that all regions will have client-state possibilities. It was kinda crazy that the likes of Bosnia, Serbia, and Finland didn't have Emergent factions in Empire, but now that the feature isn't simple "emergence", but rather "liberate"/"satellite", hopefully we can create our own Grand Duchys in any given territory we take over.

....Now just to see how they perform on the negotiating table and on the campaign map...

Oh shoot, I didn't realize this came from a PM, I thought Jack announced this officially on the site. I didn't read the OP close enough.

I'm just wishing here though, that's far from confirmed.

Maybe Jack didn't intend for that to go beyond the person he PM'd. You're taking confidential correspondence and then sharing it with the world. Not cool.

If Jack gave permission to share, that's another story.

EDIT: The real issue here is that information like that is potentially covered by a Non-Disclosure Agreement, which means you could be getting someone in serious trouble. Hopefully that's not the case here, but it's better to err on the side of caution.

Well, the burden of the NDA is carried by CA and their employees, not by random people like the OP or others. Thus there is neither a legal nor ethical reason for not sharing information that already came from a CA source. if it was the other way around the news business would have a... eh, rather different role in our society...

I think Jack would be smart enough not to give extremely classified information over a PM to a random member on a forum. CA probably doesn't care we know this.

I'm sure you're right, but naming your source for inside information isn't a good practice.

I just wanted to ask here because when that user told me it I couldn't find the source on internet, so directly I came to ask it here. I thought if you told it him, it could be a official thing.

My apologies Jack for this being dragged here. I thought to reasure Hereje on some Spanish TW forum about Catalonia being able to rebell/liberate based on some preview I had read here or at yuku. Hereje did not believe me and I thought I would drop a friendly PM to Jack and ask him directly since the info was anyways already available somewhere. Jack, the gentleman he is confirmed it to me and I told so Hereje. Still this was not enough confirmation for him and he PMd Jack directly and openend this thread for even further confirmation.

My apologies for opening this can of worms like that. Could not have known Hereje was so fanatic about an independent Catalonia :p

I did not post Jack´s reply to me here because I did not wish for precisely this to happen. Was not sure up to what point Jack would be in a tight spot due to it. I´m happy to read this was no problem really for him.
Read a napoleonic first hand account of a Hessian serving under the french flag

Athenians: For ourselves, we shall not trouble you with specious pretenses - either of how we have a right to our empire because we overthrew the Mede, or are now attacking you because of wrong that you have done us- and make a long speech which would not be believed;.......... since you know as well as we do that right, as the world goes, is only in question between equals in power, while the strong do what they can and the weak suffer what they must.

Yes, I believe you, but I I preferred to ask him personally just because as I said I could find the source.

Also I have to say I'm not fanatic Ebusitanus.

Anyway, the first post have been deleted to save any problems.
