RTR Platnium Start Campaign Crash?

Hi all,
Em so this could be a common question but I haven't found a solution yet. I installed RTW and then the 1.3 and 1.5 patches. Then I ran the RTR 1.6 Full installer, and the .bat for the maps. I started the campaign but it gets half way through the loading bar before crashing. Tried two reinstalls, and manually deleting the map files in the base/ folders. So, whats gone wrong? And whats the solution?

Hi again, I got the issue fixed after about 10 installs and buying Barbarian Invasion.
So, the issue turns out to be a flaw in the BI installer with windows7 x64. While RTW will install to the Program Files (x86) folder, RTW:BI installs to the Program Files folder. Thus, running either RTW or BI crashes the entire computer. You need to allow each to install, then copy and merge all folders into the Program Files/Activision folder. This allows both games to run, and I'm installing RTRPE now which I assume will work.
Since I've never heard of this error before I'm wondering if it's a known issue, or perhaps a new one due to RTWBI/win7 combined issue. If not, maybe someone should report it or add to a known list of problems.
