Alright this is from the Total War Messageboard on Bridgen's latest interview where he was getting excited with that toy.
Look at what Yahav says and Bridgen's response.

Another Spartan Total Warrior perhaps?
Shoot coward! You are only going to kill a man!
I don't think so.
This is on the Total War Message board where they talk about games from the Total War series. If they were doing something that is on the consoles they would mention that in a different forum. I think they are planning something, but whatever that is I don't know.
It's definitley intriguing.![]()
*shudders at a thought of a Total War game being on the console*
But I still think CA is planning something.
They definitely are. They've been advertising for console programmers.

The extra development time will allow us to finalize and polish Empire, making it the most accomplished and epic of the Total War series." said Kieran Brigden, Studio Communications Manager at The Creative Assembly. "There is a great deal of anticipation around Empire: Total War and we want to ensure that it is the benchmark for strategy games upon its release.![]()
Well in the words of King Leonidas:
THIS IS PC!!!!!
No I'm kidding. I get your point that consoles are bug free. I'm just used to playing Total War games on the PC.
Any sarcastic views or half-witty opinions expressed here are those of the poster and do not necessarily represent the views or opinions of The Creative Assembly or SEGA.
Well well well.
total war is one of the last big game franchises that is not on console. It was only a matter of time.
If its like what they did to sturmovik to put it on the console in the form of "birds of prey" or whatever it was called you can count me right out.
The community keeps trying to turn the game into what everyone wants it to be. Console lobotomy is not the way to go, its the opposite direction to the current community. They better not give it a total war name.
I wonder how the programmers feel about this? Another MW2 anyone?
Man things have changed. Didn't a CA PR rep awhile ago say that they prefer PC gaming and gamers over console?

The day a total war game ported to console becomes a success is as likely as Obama achieving world peace in a world full of nutty politicians.

They should have thought that before they released something like Empire Total War, as a matter a fact, i think they're doing this because since they dissapointed fans of TW so much they are going to try to get to a new audience to replace us, and if thats the way they want to go, than alot of fans are gonna beat them to the punch and abandon TW, retreating back to the last good TW game CA made. sort of like Metallica if you think about it.With such great fans, I am sooo sure that CA will be absoloutly happy to keep their games exclusive to the PC market.
Well if CA\SEGA go consoles then good riddance. Everything has been pointing in this direction, they either got better or worse. I guess they realise that it`s easier and more profitable to sell enmasse to console players than the discerning PC player who they need to keep promises to. They`ve been going downhill since empires and I guess they`ve decided to now throw the baby out with the bath water.
It was good while it lasted.
