Default General's speechs and voice mods

Quick question, how come the general's speech and campaign map "yes sir" voices overs were not translated in to latin, greek, common germanic etc for the voice mods. As long as the peices of speechs are just translated from the english rtw ones the subtitles would still let us know what the general is saying. Any I'm just wondering.

Strat map voices were planned and IIRC started by not completed.

Even though it may not seem like it, there and many different pre-battle speech components and translating and recording them would be a huge job. Besides, the pre-battle speeches are just a bunch of lame quotes and bad writing.

I can only comment on the Greek Voicemod on this; since that is the one I know:

Strat map sentences have all been translated, proofread and corrected; but they have not been recorded properly. That said, there do exist some recorded samples but they generally refer to an outdated translation, and are not quite of the same quality (pure audio quality) as the battle map voices and are incomplete anyway. The value of those samples lies mostly in the fact that they have had their text files properly cut down to re-usable snippets and these assembled into working code; this means that the snippets can serve as template for future coding work.

There also exists a draft/work-in-progress but halted attempt at covering the Prebattle speeches; of which about 30% of all sentences had been translated, proofread and corrected. None of those have been recorded however; and the work is low priority at best.

As for the other Voicemods my knowledge of their respective status is incomplete. Furthermore there are distinct differences between M2TW (and M2TW-K) on the one hand, and RTW on the other..

That's good to know, doesn't the mideval 2 verison even more for all the varous reponces the other factions have when you click on there armies? Granted those were some of my favorate for all the puns "don't touch this noble lass" "I'll rip off your head and spit down your neck!" "Do I remind you of one of your own captions me lord?" "Me? With you? Ha I have standards you know!" you get the idea. Thought I they wont be as funny since the only ones I'll have any chance at understanding would the latin.

I can confirm that, as the Seleucids, my spies all speak Greek when performing their commands. On the battle map all the units speak Greek when they respond to commands. It is only on the campaign map that they speak English to me.
