I've recently played several Teutonic campaign battles, and right away I realized easily the most powerful unit in the Teutonic Campaign is the Teutonic Ritterbruder, fierce, feared and deadly heavy infantry/dismounted knights that stalk the coast of the Baltic Sea. I just played a battle as the Teutons against a Lithuanian force twice my size on Grassy Plain (no actual terrain advantage). The army composition was (no cavalry):
Me:
2 Ritterbruder
3 Halbbruder
2 Crossbow Miltia
1 Hand Gunner
Lithuania:
2 Peasants
4 Spear Militia (or the equivalent)
1 Chosen Something (can't remember the name)
3 Militia Archers
My bodyguard, one of the Ritterbruder units, held off two Spear Militia units and the Chosen bodyguard guys, routing all of them, their numbers barely even scratched, down to 31. (starting at 49, including General).
Now, even though they did fight against rather inexperienced units, is there any good counter AGAINST them if you have a relatively poor field of units?
